Terms & Policies
Please read the Terms & Policies carefully before using Compass One Consultants.com and its services.
Agreement:
Compass One Consultants LLC agrees to provide its services to the Client as mentioned in the agreement.
Description:
Coaching is a cooperative relationship (not a business or legal partnership) between the Client and the Coach. It is designed to help the Client maximize their personal and professional skills and capabilities in an innovative and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
The Coach agrees to maintain the standards and ethics of behavior set by the International Coach Federation (ICF). www.coachfederation.org/ethics.
The Client is responsible for their own emotional, mental, and overall well-being. The Client is also responsible for their choices, decisions, behaviors, and actions, along with any resulting consequences. The Client agrees not to hold the Coach accountable or responsible for any action or inaction, as well as any direct or indirect results of coaching services provided by the Coach.
The Client acknowledges that coaching is not therapy, nor does it serve as a substitute for therapy. Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any mental disorder or medical condition. The Client understands that coaching is not a replacement for professional advice from legal, medical, cognitive, or other qualified professionals, and they agree to seek professional help for respective matters from independent professionals. If the Client is undergoing mental health treatment, they must inform the Coach about their mental healthcare provider. The Client understands the importance of honesty and agrees to communicate openly, provide genuine feedback, and actively participate in the coaching program.
Service Agreement
Confidentiality:
The coaching relationship, as well as all information (documented or verbal) shared by the Client, is bound by confidentiality as per the ICF Code of Ethics. However, it is not considered a legally confidential relationship (such as in Medicine or Law). The Coach agrees not to disclose any Client-related information without the Client’s written consent. The Coach will not disclose the Client’s name as a reference without prior approval.
Confidential information does not include: (a) Information already in the Coach’s possession before being provided by the Client.
(b) Information that is publicly known or generally available within the Client’s industry.
(c) Information obtained by the Coach from a third party without breaching confidentiality.
(d) Information independently developed by the Coach without referencing the Client’s confidential data.
(e) Information the Coach is legally required to disclose.
For further details, refer to the Confidentiality Agreement document.
Limited Liability:
Except as expressly stated in this agreement, the Coach makes no guarantees or warranties, express or implied. The Coach will not be liable to the Client for any consequential or special damages. The Coach’s entire liability under this agreement, and the Client’s exclusive remedy, will be limited to the total amount paid by the Client for coaching services up until the termination date.
If a dispute arises that cannot be resolved through mutual consent, both parties agree to attempt mediation in good faith for up to 30 days after notice is given. If the dispute remains unresolved, and legal action is pursued, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover attorney’s fees and court costs.
Cancellation Policy:
The Client agrees to notify the Coach at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel a scheduled session. The Coach will attempt to reschedule the missed meeting. If the Client cancels within 24 hours or fails to attend two coaching sessions within the same agreement period, they will receive a written warning via email. A $60 cancellation fee will be charged for any subsequent missed or canceled session within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment. The Coach will confirm cancellations via text message or email.
Termination Policy:
Either the Client or the Coach may terminate this agreement at any time with a one-week written notice via email. Due to the structured nature of coaching, the Client will continue working with the Coach for one additional week after the written notice is received. At least one final coaching session may be conducted to ensure proper closure and transition.
